Student Work
Our minister, the Rev Cynthia Park, is the Methodist Chaplain for both Brighton and Sussex Universities; helping her in this work is Sue Harrington who is the Student Development Worker for the Brighton & Hove Circuit.
We aim to make students feel welcome and happy in Brighton and offer the hand of friendship to any and all.  We offer a monthly subsidised Sunday lunch, use of the IT equipment, and a monthly film night as well.  See below for details:-

Students are invited to join us on Facebook:  Student Circuit (was BMS Group) or follow on Twitter: @StudentCircuit to keep up-to-date with events and info as well as the opportunity to "meet up" online.
Dorset Gardens is also the venue for twice-weekly philosophy lectures and we offer teas and coffees in the break - donations for which will be going to a charity of the students’ choosing - probably a school in Nepal which the University is sponsoring.  In addition to quenching students' thirst, on a Tuesday we offer a light lunch, usually soup, bread, cheese and fruit or sometimes jacket potatoes with a choice of fillings.
We visit on campus and can be found at the Grand Parade coffee bar between 2.30 and 3.30 pm on most Thursdays.  Students are invited to join us for a coffee and a chat.
Each Christmas we host a Christmas Day Lunch at the Sussex University Meeting House with crackers, the Queen’s speech, decorations and plenty of food – the whole works!
If we can be of assistance to you, just be in touch – in confidence if you wish.
Sue Harrington can be contacted on 07943 401608 or StudentCircuit@dgmc.org.uk.
