Jesus told us to preach the Gospel and heal the sick and so a healing Ministry is a direct command from Him.
Requests for healing come from many sources such as an offer to pray which is displayed in our window and phone calls from other churches.  Visitors to our Prayer Chapel find a prayer tree with paper leaves for prayers, there is a rack with a cross-shaped candle flame on each card for prayers for healing.  There is also a service of prayer and praise every Thursday in this Chapel at 1 pm.
At 10 am on the last Friday of each month a small group meets to pray in a consecrated way for named people.  It is a powerful experience.  In the silence we focus on each person in turn.
We have prayer lists on our weekly service sheets and a long-term list for ongoing conditions each month.
Laying-on of hands is offered at all Holy Communion services.
A healing ministry works in harmony with medicine.  Our prayer is always for healing and wholeness for the complete person, body, mind and spirit.  If you feel called to be part of the healing ministry just come along to the Sanctuary at 10 am on the last Friday of each month or ring Shirley Veater on 01273 306003 for further information or prayer requests.
