Church Activities


Dorset Gardens is an inclusive church. All are welcomed regardless of age, gender, race, or sexual orientation.

We have a busy weekly calendar, hosting a wide range of church-based and outside activities:-

Mondays

Weekly

7.30 am,  AA Group

10 am,  Gentle Exercise Class  -  Open to all!

7 pm,  14th Brighton Scouts

Fortnightly

8 pm,  Monday Club (Womens' fellowship group)  -  All welcome!


Tuesdays

Weekly

2 pm,  Clare Project Drop-in


Wednesdays

10 am,  Gentle Exercise Class  -  Everybody welcome!

11.45 am,  Book Review Club
(Held at The Coach House, Rottingdean)

10 am (until 12 noon),  Parent & Toddler Group
(Babies, toddlers, mums, dads - You're all welcome!)

1 pm,  Lunchtime Prayer & Praise Service  -  All welcome!

6 pm,  14th Brighton Beaver Scouts & Cub Scouts

8 pm,  AA Group

(A lively, informal and relaxed café-style worship)

Other Activities & Ventures


House Groups & Poetry Group

There are three House Groups which meet monthly and a Poetry Group which reads poetry and prose to residents of a care home.

School Involvement

The Minister and others are school governors and involve themselves in school life in the City.

St. James's Street

The Church has been a focal point for the traders in this area to meet with support from the Minister and others in the Church.

Care Chain

This is a new venture which has been started to help those in great need in our midst.


Annual Events


Art Exhibition  -  "Faith in the City"

An Art Exhibition is held at the Church each May as part of the Brighton Festival Fringe.  Click here for further details

Summer Play Scheme

Each year we hold a Play Scheme at the Church for 5 to 10 year olds, usually for four consecutive days during the Summer holidays.

Half Term Fun Days

AND as a taster for the Summer Play Scheme we hold Fun Days in the February & October Half Term holidays, again for 5 to 10 year olds.
