HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO US!

As some readers may know Dorset Gardens is 200 years old - or is it 200 years young? - during 2008.  There is a programme of more than twenty events under the title “DG 200” celebrating this very big birthday and something special is happening every month of the year.

The good news is that you are invited to each and every one of these events.  So do look at the programme (below) and book the dates firmly into your diary.  It is an exciting time in the life of our church.

People have already been asking about what souvenirs of this special year will be available - The answer is three:-

  •   A handy mini laser torch which has “DG 200” printed on it, plus a Bible   reference that you have to look up to gain further illumination;
  •   A high-quality tea towel;
  •   Michael Hickman’s book tracing the fascinating history of Dorset   Gardens, as yet untitled, to be published later in the year.

We also have a special “DG 200” logo (shown above) that is being used on all church publicity material, service sheets, etc, and we are so grateful to Shirley Veater for designing this for us.

This promises to be a great year for DG.  Please do support the various “DG 200” birthday events yourself - and, better still - bring along a friend!
